Banks got bailed out and we got sold out
These are the words we chant

All of my friends have mortgages
But no home to call their own
Thirty years old and so deep in debt
We did as we were told and went to college
The banks screwed up so hard and yet
We're stuck holding the bill
Like the suckers that we are
But it didn't have to be this way

For all the failed institutions
That got money that they didn't deserve
In all the wrong solutions
Money with no strings attached
No pinky swear or blood pact
The banks got bailed and we got sold out, yeah
I watch the Frontlines, I read the news
And my blood it starts to boil
But the anger's got nowhere to go
No boycott or protest vote
And so I chant and march
A banker bets and someone loses
Their home and their livelihood
50 years old and out of work
Did as you were told and what for
Just to have your whole life torn apart
This is why I march
For all the failed institutions
That took our money and ran
