"Aiming Deadzone" is an incredible mechanic that will completely change the way you play Arma 3, and it's not a mod!

Simply go to Options, Game Options, and General and the slider is down below. I have mine set to about 50% to allow sufficient movement while also giving me flexibility if I need to move quickly.
