In This War of Mine, you're not an elite soldier, but a group of civilians surviving in a city under siege. You're short on food and medicine, and you're constantly on the lookout for snipers and hostile scavengers. It's a game that gives you a whole new perspective on what it's like to be at war.
This War of Mine alternates the pace of the game between day and night. During the day, snipers outside force you to stay inside, during which time you'll have to manage your hideout. You can craft, trade items, and take care of survivors. At night, you'll have to send a civilian to a series of special locations to collect the supplies necessary for everyone's survival.
Players have a conscience that dictates whether others live or die. Will you protect everyone in the hideout, or will you sacrifice some of them to survive longer? There are no good or bad decisions to be made during the war, only survival is the most important. The sooner you realize this, the better.
