I have not seen a single person mention anything about this change and missed it myself. This is huge since you can pair it with lucky pants and deal incredible amounts of damage while barely reloading. Lucky pants, pick up the green orbs, and kinetic surge mods make this an absolute monster and I don't even have the catalyst yet. Everyone I see talks about the unique interaction with the warlock exotic but who needs more poison when Yellow bars fall with ease.
Extra tip: the "out of luck" timer can be circumvented sometimes by picking up and throwing a strand ball. It definitely counts as swapping weapons for a regular activation and more testing will be needed to confirm this one.
