Thoughts On: The DMMd Controversy

In this video we are discussing a subject that has popped up recently and I thought would have gone away especially on one website.
Tonight we are talking about Dramatical Murder and the fanbase that it has gotten with the PC games as well as the new fans that have come with the Anime which is entering week 3!
In this video I discuss the situation that has arisen on tumblr where the fans of the PC game (even if its jokingly) have shown in many respects the maturity level of their fanbase when it comes to the new Anime fans. I discuss my thoughts on their behavior as well as give insight into my background with the BL/Yaoi genre and you MIGHT be surprised with it.
This brings me to you guys: What do you think a fanbase should do when it comes to new fans through a medium OTHER THAN the source material from which something is based? Should the older fans have to educate them or in this case do you feel they should leave well enough alone and just let the newer fans be?
