Thousand Boat Bash Event Guide in Thousand Needles | Small Boat Allows swift water surface travel
0The Thousand Boat Bash is a micro-holiday event in the Thousand Needles on Kalimdor, where participants celebrate Boat Day. The event involves a world quest, Boat Tour, which requires visiting different NPCs, each with their own issues. Completing tasks for these NPCs rewards boat parts, which can be combined to create a Small Boat. This event also includes fishing up items from Floating Garbage and Submarine Tar pools. The Small Boat can be used on any continent, granting a 10-minute Boating buff.
Boat Tour
Visit the NPCs in the area in this order for Boat Day dialogue:
Fizzle and Pozzik at the Speedbarge cabin discuss bomb theft and name-calling.
Tu-Luak, on the giant turtles, talks about the party litter distracting from volleyball.
Theldurin the Lost, on a raft, forgot to bring ale.
Ilthine Sunsong, on a red boat, wants to party.
After visiting all 4, the quest completes and 4 world quests appear to help NPCs. Each rewards a boat part for your final reward.
Beach Ball Bash
Party boats at Ilthine each have a beach ball. Click to send it airborne, then position underneath for a rebound. After 10 times, you're done. Your position affects the bounce direction, so avoid water. Using an overhead camera view simplifies this task.
Rewards: Mainsail Mainsail
Grog, Rum, and Ale
The quest items are on the 3 pirate ships: Doublerum from southsea sailors, clickable Tankards of Grog on two ships, and Pirate Ale near the main mast on the third. Rewards: Rigging Rope.
Garbage Fishing
Learn Fishing, fish up items like Old Skull from Floating Garbage pools around Turtles. Use any boat, skill level is irrelevant. Reward: Waxy Reeds.
The Goblins Stole Our Bombs!
This active quest requires three items, each dropped by an NPC on the Horde boats. Sally Boom drops the Enormous Crate of Tiny Bombs, First Mate Billwix drops the Party Dynamite, and Grongo drops the Nagrand Cherry-Bomb.
Reward: Ship Mast
Fish up 20 Submarine Tar from Submarine Tar pools left by the goblin submarine. Pools appear regularly and despawn in about a minute. Ignore pools with a darker center that seem to spawn below the surface. After gathering all parts, combine them to get the Small Boat. Using the boat grants a 10-minute Boating buff usable on any continent, including the Broken Isles. Enjoy!
