Today (July 18) marks 115 years since the birth of composer Barry Gray.

Gray was born in 1908 and passed away in 1984. He is fondly remembered for the music he composed for the various TV shows and films created by Gerry Anderson, from The Adventures of Twizzle in the 1950s, to the first season of Space: 1999 in the 1970s.

One of Gray's most memorable scores is the Thunderbirds March, composed for what is considered by many fans to be the pinnacle of the Gerry Anderson legacy: Thunderbirds.

I hope to commemorate Gray's contributions to the world of music in film and TV with this cover of Thunderbirds.
