Thunderstone Quest - Board Game Review
13"Dicejunkies’ game night returns with one familiar face leading the charge and two new faces trying to catch on to new tabletop games. Those who follow Dicejunkies, certainly know Tim and his gaming experience but cosplayer Taylor and I are the new faces at the table this year.
In our first review, we took time to play Thunderstone Quest. This is a fantasy deck-building game by AEG and retails for $69.99. The game can be played with two to four players and typically takes 60 to 90 minutes to finish a session.
While we played the basic version, the rules were easy to pick up and the game play can be as fast or slow as players would like to make their pace. Tim brought game experience to the table, helping Taylor and I with questions, rules and anything else that came up during play.
The miniatures used were nice and the artwork happened to be solid. Neither blew your mind in quality but it didn’t feel cheap either. Overall, the design of the playing pieces were fine for an enjoyable night of game play.

As a novice game player, I would recommend this game to friends. Thunderstone Quest is enjoyable to play in my limited game experience. There are pre-set dungeons with side quests and a storybook to give description of the adventure to the players.
This game has replay ability which is always an important feature for me. As the first review of the year, this game might not be the greatest out there but is as solid as any game on the market.
