Tiger-Heli is Toaplan's first shoot em up and also one of the early innovators in the genre. I'm not 100% sure but I believe this is the first shmup with bombs it.

Anyway, i decided to take a break from my arcade cabinet and started messing around with some super old school shmups in mame and this was the one I settled on.

This is just a basic run through the first 2 loops of the game and into the final stage of loop 3 before getting the game over.

Unlike a lot of old school titles with checkpoints, tiger heli has very well balanced and fair checkpoint recoveries. Toaplan has done an excellent job all around for their first effort.
