The game in this video was a very pleasant surprise: Touhou Luna Nights. I was only familiar with this game from a passing reference or two over the years in the r/metroidvania subreddit. I'd been watching it for a sale on Steam, but I never saw it low enough to make me take the risk of jumping into a fangame of a series I know nothing about (Touhou Project) just because it's a metroidvania. Well, I finally was able to try this game thanks to a PC Game Pass trial, and it was super fun! I would definitely recommend it to metroidvania fans, even if you know nothing about Touhou Project, because I was in the same boat.
