Watty: a peculiar instance of a Switch Attacker who gets to keep their buff for a while. When you Defend Attacks, you'll gain ATK equal to the Damage Mitigated, in the form of Fortified Scales Stacks. As Watty starts at a disgustingly low -3 ATK, this lets her buff up by playing Defensively, up to +2 at most. As a sample: if an Attack is rated at 5, and you roll 7 DEF (5 on roll, 2 as standard Character boost), you'll gain 4 Stacks of Scales, setting your ATK to +1. The Buff you get from Scales lasts Three Turns, so make it count, or get another Stack of Scales ready to perpetuate the Buff.

Her Hyper grants 2 extra DEF and doubles her Stack Counter for three Turns, letting her pile up to a disgustingly broken, but situational, +7 ATK! Hitting that cap will also Auto-KO all other enemies in a Torrent of Magic!

But again, Watty's Strengths are situational, at best, and nonexistent at worst. Much like Tequila, she needs to get whacked first to buff up, though she does get to keep her buff for longer. Second, if she's ever KO'd, she'll lose her focus and drop all Stacks of Scales, making Effects like Star-Blasting Fuse, Gamble, Flamethrower, et al. incredibly damning Effects. Worse still, what if you bring Watty to a Match where no one is good at Attacking? In that situation, Watty becomes unwieldy, as she'll be hard-pressed to generate Stacks of Scales, let alone quickly. Carry some quick means to turn the tides, healing and Movement to make the best of her kit!
