Remember when beta were betas and not just stunts to promote something coming out in 2 months? Me neither! But today I'll be playing fantasy beta tester, and offering constructive feedback on the state of Titanfall 2, and all the changes that have been made since Titanfall 1.

graphics were great, the sound was great, the pacing of the game was great, i could say nice things about this game all day really, but in order to have a more intelligent discussion about the content of the pre-alpha whatever you call it, let me have a little bit of a fantasy session here, let me first have the fantasy that it’s just called a beta ok? that simplifies things for me.

customization screen
unlock system, reasonably paced but unnecessary
gadgets being tied to skins, grapple story
brief mention of ticks, i am waiting to have a cool moment with the ticks, i got killed by one but didn’t get around to kill any enemy pilots with them, that’s something i didn’t quite get to
titan customization looks nice and simple for the moment,
didn’t have much motivation to take the fire titan over the laser titan, or experiment with the pilot weapons too much, i had a submachine gun and a charge laser rifle for my titan weapon, similar to what i did in titan fall 1 and i was happy with that
our pistols don’t seem as accessible, no smart pistol, that gun always had a weird place. very minor gripe, but losing pistols does feel like a minor step back
