TBH, the best way to fight Gnome is to go the Finisher way, since 560 hits to activate the gauge? Bananas. But as for me? My team has a very degenerate strategy to gain OL stupidly quick and doing 560 Hits every 3 turns is just their daily grind.

Do watch out for the 3Ts, as they're a pretty stiff ATK Debuff, and you absolutely don't want your Finisher(s) to take that. Otherwise, it's just a game of how well can you get breaks in 3 turns. Break Damage+/Poison skills help as well.
