This time, I give Endless mode a whirl.

Now, normally in this game, the gems do not advance upward on their own, and you have to manually advance them. However, in Endless mode, they will gradually advance upward automatically (though you can still manually advance them too if you want). And, while there is no time limit in Endless mode, the rate at which the gems automatically advance gets more rapid the longer you go on. And, when they inevitably hit the top of the field, that ends the game.

For a good chunk of this run, I tried focusing on chain reaction combos where a gem match causes other gems to fall into place to automatically match. When that happens, all of the gems involved in that chain reaction match are worth an extra point each, indicated by the "+1"s that appear. (Note: Further chain reaction matches after that still only give "+1"s, and not "+2"s or more.)

However, a bit past the 2-minute mark or so, the automatic gem advancement started getting pretty quick, and eventually I was just unable to keep up with it. Perhaps I spent too much time focused on setting up combos at that point.

Also, I chose to use Naka instead of Tofu here, but in Time Trial and Endless, since you're not battling an opponent, all that does is alter the music (each character has their own theme). Maybe I should start showing off multiplayer battles in the next video of this that I make.
