Tofu Topple - 909 on Time Trial

So, several months ago, I had gotten 888 on Time Trial. I decided to take more stabs at approaching 1000, just to get some practice for the upcoming tournament, and did manage to break the 900 mark here.
However, I still feel like 1000 is totally possible. I had one run that was definitely on a 1000 pace, with my score over 500 with about 1 minute still on the clock, but then my arms and fingers got too fatigued to play properly, and that run ended with a score of 876. (I gotta make sure I take breaks after each intense attempt.)
Oh, and as you can see in this video, when time runs out in v1.1, it says "TIME!" on the screen, which was a suggestion I had made while Naka was working on this update, and it looks nice. (However, the game will still say "LOSE!" if you manually raise the stack too much and top yourself out.)
Also, in v1.1, any match that's occurring just as the timer hits 0 will still be added to your score now. I made a 5-match shortly before time expired here, and didn't have to worry about being gypped out of those 5 points.
BTW, something odd happened at about 0:46 here, where I tossed down a couple of brown blocks onto more brown blocks below, and the top brown block did not get cleared for some strange reason. I wonder why?
