This time, I attempt to play through Yuki's campaign on Hard, but... it ended in failure.

So, Yuki's "garbage blocks" are these wisps that appear in random places on the opponent's board. They don't get in the way or affect the opponent's ability to make matches at all. However, any match that's made overlapping any wisps will add to Yuki's score instead.

Unfortunately, this means Yuki really has no way to directly interfere with the Hard AI's ability to make matches and combos, and as such, she might struggle more against the garbage that the enemies send her way, while trying to race to 200 points first.

I had several narrow victories along the way here, but I did make it to final boss MeatBun with all three of my lives. Unfortunately, I had bad luck with MeatBun's bombs, and lost thrice in a row. I was really close on my second attempt as well, having gotten over 190 points before MeatBun reached 200, and I wish I had gotten just a little bit more "oomph" in my scoring to win right there.

After your third loss, you lose all progress you made in that run of the Campaign and get sent back to the character select screen. I was so stressed out after that harsh defeat that I decided to just blaze through Yuki's story on Normal instead. And even then, it was a fairly close match against MeatBun, though I did beat her on the first try there. Perhaps in the future I'll come back and try to clear Yuki's Campaign on Hard.

Interestingly, during my trip through Normal, Ogre's AI froze up at about 24:53. I have no idea why. Yuki's wisps don't get in the way of matching gems, and there weren't even any wisps overlapping the obvious match that Ogre was poised to make, but he just sat there, forever unmoving for the rest of the match, giving me a free win.
