Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE - Trash or Treasure? | So Much Cheese
A crossover between Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei that some fans of either series enjoy, and others not so much. I'm going to try and look at the game just on its own to see if you can still have fun without too much knowledge of SMT or Fire Emblem. ATLUS mainly took charge of making Tokyo Mirage Sessions, with the gameplay mostly carried over from SMT, but is some sort of spin to it, and how much love does Fire Emblem get as well?
Tokyo Mirage Sessions is a crossover game between the Fire Emblem series and Shin Megami Tensei series, developed by ATLUS, the makers of Shin Megami Tensei and Tokyo Mirage Sessions, with some assistance from Intelligent Systems, the creators of Fire Emblem. Tokyo Mirage Sessions follows a bunch of high school learning to control spiritual beings known as Mirages, but Tokyo Mirage Sessions can also have you hang out with your friends to improve their abilities, similar to the Persona series. Tokyo Mirage Sessions first came out for the Wii U in 2015, but Tokyo Mirage Sessions has since received a Switch port called Tokyo Mirage Sessions Encore in 2020 with new additions.
