22012 Tolkien Week & Hobbit Day comes to an end! This is a short video talking about The Hobbit 3D via Dredd and showing off my HOBBIT STEW!!! HAHHA!
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the publication of "The Hobbit," and today, Sept. 22, is known as "Hobbit Day," so named to celebrate the fictional birthday of hobbits Bilbo and Frodo Baggins. Fans of the Tolkien fantasies, which include "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "The Silmarillion," eagerly await the film adaptation of "The Hobbit," planned as a trilogy by director Peter Jackson. The first installment, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," will be released Dec. 14.
"The Hobbit" serves as a prelude to "The Lord of the Rings," and follows Bilbo as he sets forth with the wizard Gandalf and a company of dwarves on a quest to reach the treasures guarded by dragon Smaug the Magnificent. Along the way, Bilbo encounters a magic ring and a creature known as Gollum.
