To start with, you can get 2 really good guns from Club Ubisoft – the G36c and the SIG556 Liama (if you’re not signed up for Club Ubisoft you can download the app on your console or go to the website on PC – once signed up all you need to do is play Ubisoft games and you’ll earn credits that you can use to buy certain in-game items in Ubisoft games).
o Now both guns are good. Equip a silencer on G36c– in this game stealth is king (the Liama can’t be configured). I like to make sure my silence gun is in the top slot so when I spawn I don’t accidently shoot an unsilenced weapon.
I also like to have a different scope on my silenced and unsilenced weapon so I can immediately tell which gun I’m holding.
o Unsilenced weapons do more damage and are more accurate in Ghost Recon Wildlands so If I get detected I’ll switch to the Liama for medium to long range combat (it also works well against helicopters).
If I’m in close range combat I’ll stick with a G36 because it has a faster reload.
Focus on doing the Rebel Ops side missions (they’ll say REWARD Support Upgrade when you highlight them on the map). These skills will allow you to: have a vehicle dropped in to your location, have 2-7 rebel forces join you, call in a mortar strike, call in a diversion, or even have all enemies in an area marked for you by the rebels.
o To have these side missions appear on the map you’ll need to find info cache, talk to civilians, or interrogate lieutenants. Once you do, you’ll have 3 options: chose rebel support missions. Now all the Rebel Op missions will appear on the map for the province you’re in.
Vehicle Drop off Mission (note – the Tom Clancy Ghost Recon Wildlands Update 2 now enables you to select which vehicle type you want to get delivered)
- In this mission type you need to breech in clear a building and activate terminal quickly
o Tip – use the Rebel Support Spotting skill to spot all the enemies in the building.
It will also will identify the terminal that you need to active
You can active the Rebel Support skills while operating the drone so get a birds eye view and when using the spotting skill.
o Tip – use a fast reloading weapon like an SMG – I like to use my silenced G36c with red dot sight – it has a good reload and it hits pretty hard.
o Tip – I also like to use the thermal vision to identify targets quickly – some building will be on the darker side.
Guns for Hire
- In this mission type you need to capture a HIV target and intimidate him.
o Tip – use the drone to mark tougher shots to have your squad mates take them out with a sync shot (for example long range snipe shot)s
o Tip – don’t use the thermal vision – it makes it hard to indentfify the HIV – and you may accidently shoot him :)
Mortar
- In this mission type you’ll need to defend a radio transmitter against waves of enemies trying to destroy it.
o Tip – Use your Rebel Support Skill to call in Guns for Hire
o Tip 2 – I like to use thermal vision – it allows me to see Secaros faster – but I may “accidently” pick off a few civives.
o Tip 3 – If you’re having trouble with a location, try another. There are more Rebel Support Missions available than you’ll need to do to level up your skills to 3.
Diversions
In this mission type you will need to active one antenna and QUICKLY get to it’s partner antenna before the timer runs out
o Tip 1 – Use a helicopter – hold in RT and push forward on the stick to go as fast as possible (pull back on the stick to avoid crashing). Land as fast as possible.
o Note - Destroy any Surface to air missile sites in your flight path from the 1st to the 2nd antenna.
Spotting
In this mission type you must simply get to supply crates that are in hard to get to locations.
o Tip –Use the helicopter – it will work for most of these
You may need to destroy any Surface to Missile sites first.
o Tip 2 – Some location will be too narrow for a helicopter – if you’re playing solo – just fall down to the location, your AI squad mates will respawn on you, revive you, and then you can capture the supply crate (just fast travel to a safe house if you’re stuck).
Now of all the Rebel Support skills I would recommend prioritizing the “Vehicle Drop-off” skill. Getting the level 3 will enable you to get a helicopter spawned in pretty much any time you want one.
