Released just over a month after its console counterpart, Splinter Cell: Conviction launched on iOS and Android devices in May of 2010. While it was quite a simplified version of the gameplay and story found on console, Conviction for mobile was still quite an impressive and enjoyable game for its time, still managing to provide that console-like gameplay that Gameloft was so great at delivering.

I adored this game as a kid so it was such fun returning to it after so many years 😍. However, unfortunately I don't think it aged quite as well as some of Gamelofts' other titles. The main issue is the lack of any aim assist, which can make aiming at enemies quite difficult on a touchscreen. Gamelofts' other series (Gangstar, Modern Combat, N.O.V.A.) had great lock-on systems that made them easy to control on mobile, I think this game could have definitely benefitted from something similar. Still, for a 2010 mobile phone game, Splinter Cell: Conviction is still a great time 😁
