Welcome to this short video where I explore my thoughts on the Tomb Raider series, specifically Lara and her character development over the origin trilogy and how this influences her later traits as she grows.

I would be interested to see where the series goes next, as Crystal Dynamics reportedly will tie together both timelines moving forward.

Footage taken from The Sims 4 during my play through using a custom made Lara Croft Sim from the gallery back in Sept 2019 (yes, it has taken me this long to work on this video!). I tried to re-create the iconic Japan scene from Tomb Raider: Legend, where Lara is seen infiltrating a high-rise apartment to steal intel.

I also explored life after the tomb raiding, where Lara retires to her manor and dips her hand into gardening, turning her samples into microscopic artworks to benefit the scientific community! I can definitely envision Lara dabbling in further fields to archaeology, being an intelligent woman. Also, I have always seen Lara as an empowering female figure, despite any accusations about her being made into an objectified model - that simply does not float when she has knowledge of various cultures and languages and Lara can choose to wear whatever she wants - she is in control of her own life.
