Tomb Raider The Definitive Edition is an action adventure video game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix originally for PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows and XBox 360, but this version was upscaled and released on Playstation 4 and XBox One. It is the thenth game in the long running, critically acclaimed Tomb Raider franchise and was originsally released March 5th, 2013 world wide, with this Definitive Edition releasingon January 28th and 31st in North America and Europe respectively. The Tomb Raider franchise is currently 22 years old, with the first of the series releasing on October 25, 1996 on the Sony Playstation, Sega Saturn and MS-DOS platforms and spans 17 games of various genres and multiple platforms. With an emphasis on exploration and puzzle solving, not to mention it's instantly recognisable female lead Lara Croft, Tomb Raider quickly became a fan favourite and one of the best selling franchises over the years.
