There's no hammy description I can give to this game that would adequately apply. We're playing Transistor, and it's just too awesome to handle.

Transistor is Supergiant Games' newest indie RPG, and I have to say, they've outdone themselves yet again. You take the role of Red, a songstress whose voice has been stolen by a mysterious group of individuals, and attacked at every turn by "the processes"- malicious programs/robots bent on taking Red out. Your only friend is a talking sword called the "transistor", which may be inhabited by the mind/soul of Red's friend/boyfriend/husband? It's all speculation, but that's the best part!
