As someone who's played the 2nd, 3rd and 4th playtest as well as extensively watching videos of each and the 1st, here are my thoughts on what I've seen so far in that time. I hope you find some interesting ideas here, as I look at what are in my opinion, currently the most pressing issues facing Dark and Darker.
As a programmer by trade that originally studied to be a games programmer who's also racked up a fair few hours I hope to provide what might be a different perspective and some ideas on changes. This focusses mainly on the core gameplay loop as that seems to warrant the most attention at this alpha stage. Please feel free to leave your thoughts and own ideas below, I'd love to hear what you think too.
