Top 11 Killer Facts About Predator Movies
Even before John McTiernan became a popular director for his iconic action-packed series Die Hard, he was filming deep in the jungles and making the biggest men shoot the biggest guns into some damned trees. He provided us with the blockbuster action-horror Predator in 1987 with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role. The plot was simple enough; a master alien hunter came to Earth to hunt down worthy prey, and a deadly team of manly men found themselves as its target. Although the first film wasn’t heavy on lore, it was packed with some serious action and high-octane fight sequences. Over the period of time, the franchise had four Predator films and two crossovers with Aliens. To someone who hasn’t followed the comics and other literature, Predators are simply grotesque beasts who live to hunt and hunt to live, but there’s more to their characters than just their carnal instinct to hunt. These beasts are honorable hunters who hail from a planet called Yautja Prime and travel across the galaxy in search of worthy prey. Hunting has become their way of life because once upon a time, they were the ones who were used as prey by a more evolved species for entertainment. This is a prime example of ironic revenge. There have been many different kinds of Predators, most of whom are mentioned in the comics and novels. We have spent countless hours into making wholesome and comprehensive videos about the Predator lore and types of Predators; you may want to check them out.
