Mortal Kombat is one of the greatest video game franchises ever to exist. It is hard to believe sometimes that the first game came out in 1992, and now thirty-one years later, the game is still relevant. Developed by Ed Boon and John Tobias, the game started out as an arcade game and was later adapted for home consoles. It started out as one on one fighting game that took place in Earthrealm, where a tournament was being organised on Shang Tsung's Island. The game, over the years, has produced some of the most iconic characters like Goro, Scorpion, Raiden and Sonya, to name a few. However, with the franchise revamping itself, some characters have
