Dosia's smart grenade

Grenade Poster
On Inferno, it is a known fact that if one is standing in the far corner of Pit with a reasonable amount of health, one just about survives should the bomb go off on Bombsite A.

During the 11th round of the grand final of PGL Kraków 2017 between Gambit Esports and Immortals, Dosia of Gambit found himself unable to win the round as Immortals' bomb on Bombsite A was going to blow. However, he knew that steel and LUCAS1 of Immortals were standing in the far corner of Pit. With the above-mentioned strategy in mind, Dosia threw a grenade towards pit, dealing over 50 damage to each of his opponents, which caused them to die from the bomb explosion and lose their weapons, creating a huge setback to the economy of Immortals. Dosia's play was so advanced that Sadokist, who was casting the match, had trouble explaining the strategy for the viewers amidst his excitement.

Valve added a poster to the brick house adjacent of the corner, in form of a mock advert for a perfume in a grenade-shaped bottle, along with a slogan in Italian meaning "No, you cannot escape now".

olofmeister's boost
Main article: Fnatic Overpass boost controversy
During the second half of the quarterfinal of DreamHack Winter 2014 between Team LDLC.com and Fnatic, olofmeister and his Fnatic teammates employed a never-seen-before boost that allowed for extreme vision over most of the map from CT spawn. Despite being down 3-12 at halftime, the boost helped Fnatic finish the map at 16-13. However, due to the subsequent controversy over the boost and cheating allegations, Fnatic forfeited the map, leading to LDLC winning the quarterfinal.

Valve added a sign next to the spot of the boost, prohibiting bystanders to climb over the railings in German. They also modified Overpass to make the boost inaccessible by moving the truck at CT Start closer to Bombsite B.

olofmeister's in-fire defuse
During the 29th round of the semifinal of ESL One: Cologne 2014 between Team Dignitas and Fnatic, olofmeister of Fnatic successfully defused the planted bomb on Bombsite B, despite the area being covered in the flames of device's Molotov. Although olofmeister did not survive the round, he finished the defuse mere milliseconds before dying from the flames.

Valve added a permanent graffiti to the adjacent wall on Hut, depicting a bewinged Counter-Terrorist standing with a pair of pliers in a sea of flames.

s1mple's double AWP noscope

Scope-less AWP Graffiti
"What is this clutch from s1mple? What, are you serious? What is that? You can't do that, s1mple! That's not allowed! This is not FPL! This is a major!" James Bardolph, commentating s1mple's play

During the 14th round of the semifinal of ESL One: Cologne 2016 between Team Liquid and Fnatic, s1mple of Team Liquid found himself alone against 2 opponents on Bombsite B. s1mple dropped down from Heaven, killed dennis with a falling noscope, and shortly afterwards killed KRIMZ also with a noscope. James Bardolph, who was casting the match, was so amazed by s1mple's clutch that he jokingly claimed that the play was too good to be legal.

Valve added a permanent graffiti on the wall under Heaven, just behind where s1mple had fallen, depicting a bewinged Counter-Terrorist holding a scope-less AWP and with a target reticle around his head.

coldzera's jumping AWP shots
During the 25th round of the semifinal of MLG Major Columbus 2016 between Team Liquid and Luminosity Gaming, coldzera of Luminosity intercepted the entirety of Team Liquid as they were heading down Apartments towards Bombsite B. After getting an initial kill on to adreN, coldzera fired his AWP towards his opponents while jumping, killing EliGE and s1mple with a single bullet from a noscope, before taking down nitr0 with another noscope. This play was the beginning of their 10 round win streak from 9-15, forcing overtime and winning the map over Team Liquid with a scoreline of 19-15.

Luminosity would go on to beat Team Liquid in the series 2-0, and eventually win the grand final against Natus Vincere to become major champions.

Valve added permanent graffiti to the back wall behind Van next to coldzera's position, depicting a bewinged AWP with four red skulls above it.
