Top 5 Things To Do After Installing Fedora 23 Workstation
1. Distribution Update Fedora 23 Workstation
Step1 :- dnf update
2. Install Gnome Tweak Tool
Step2 :- dnf install gnome-tweak-tool
3. Install VLC
Step4 :- rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
Step3 :- dnf install vlc
4. Install Virtual Box
To install Virtual box, you need to download and enable virtual box repository
Step5 :- cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
Step6 :- wget http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/rpm/fedora/virtualbox.repo
Update repolist.
Step7 :- dnf -y update
Install Prerequisite and Virtualbox
Step8 :- dnf install -y kernel-headers kernel-devel dkms gcc
Step9 :- dnf -y install VirtualBox-4.3
Step10 :- sudo nano /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
Create an User for Virtualbox as:
Step11 :- usermod -G vboxusers -a user_nameStep12 :- passwd user_name
To start Virtualbox you may need to run.
Step13 :- /etc/init.d/vboxdrv start
5. Install Various Desktop Environments
Step14 :- dnf install @kde-desktop [KDE Desktop]
Step15 :- dnf install @xfce-desktop [XFCE Desktop]
Step16 :- dnf install @mate-desktop [Mate Desktop]
