All game play provided by me. Also, keep in mind that these are my top five picks. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. Feel free to post a comment informing us what your top five would be.

5. Sunfire
Okay, I'll admit it: Picking a fifth character in this top five was slightly difficult simply because the top four usually comprise my team. However, Sunfire has a Flame Sword that does massive damage against enemies. If it fails to kill them, it'll add fire damage to them nonetheless. Also, he has flight.

4. Iron Man
Iron Man's strength lies in his melee combat. He already has the might to back his punches. But it's his Motion Amplifier that increases that melee damage. While he does have some projectile attacks, they use up too much energy, but used with Motion Amplifier (which basically uses none) it works wonders. Also, he has flight and a healing factor.

UNLOCKING IRON MAN:

Many people have asked how to get Iron Man and rather than reply to each person individually, I thought I'd answer here. In XML2 there are five acts you explore. Act one is in Genosha, act two is in the Savage Land, etc. In each act, you have the opportunity to find up to SIX homing beacons. You only need to collect four per act so if you find four, the other two become XP points.

Once you collect four, a secret bonus area gets unlocked back at home base. The bonus area is a portal that looks like the Blink portals. Enter through it, fight some bad guys and collect a piece of Iron Man's armor. You will collect one piece per the first four acts. In act five, rather than collecting a fifth piece, you'll encounter Tony Stark. If you have all four pieces of armor, he'll join your team and turn into Iron Man. If you don't, he'll stay in that area until you find the pieces you're missing. (Then go back to the area, talk to him again and he'll join.)

3. Iceman
It's no wonder that Iceman is considered one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe. Extreme cold is devastating and Iceman uses the Cold Crush to full effect. It'll freeze an initial target it hits but then slow all other targets within radius as well. And let's not forget COLD SNAP... Also, he has an Ice Slide similar to flight but it adds knockback as well.

2. Deadpool
Let's face it: Deadpool just kicks ass. He'll plow through a group of enemies like nothing. His Rupturing Jab adds massive bleed damage and doesn't take much energy making it a lethal combination. His ultimate attack, NITROGEN BLAST, adds cold damage and freezes enemies as well. Also, he has the ability to teleport as well as a healing factor.

1. Nightcrawler
Nightcrawler just plain rules...as long as you dont add any points to Teleport Attack. If left empty, his Teleport Frenzy uses NO energy per use meaning teleport to your heart's content! If used in conjunction with Shadow Master, he'll become nearly invisible making him difficult for enemies to attack.
