Here in this video I demonstrate how I am able to play the 1997 game Total Annihilation on Windows 10 via VMWare Fusion Player 12 on my 16 inch MacBook Pro.

The key is using the app DXWnd, which handles the legacy stuff on Windows 10. The version to use is 2.05.24 and not the latest version, as somehow they lead to unplayable issues. Afterwards, set the resolution to something playable, for me 1440 x 900, and set the desktop resolution to the same one prior to launching the game via DXWnd.
