Despite the wierd rocky start the rest of the run is clean enough. Sariel is way scarier than Konngara because she can snipe you when you least expect it and overall the Makai route gives less lives. I don't know why I cleared it first try but now I don't have to play this game ever again (for 1cc purposes).
