Traveling over Hell's crystallized fields and forests

This is quite possibly one of the hardest stages in all of Touhou...not because of anything silly like difficult bullet patterns or stuff like that...but because ZUN apparently really likes the color blue...The majority of the stage is blue and white and the majority of the bullets fired at you are, guess what BLUE AND WHITE! Is a little contrast so much to ask for here?

Aside from that headache the stage isn't too difficult if you know what you're getting into. Almost all of the enemies come in pairs on the left and one on the right so for most of the stage you'll be on one side blasting any enemy that shows up while dodging the bullets from the other side. However you will have to just know two instances when a line of enemies will pop up from the bottom

Yuki and Mai...OK together the toughest part is you get no breaks in the battle. By that I mean normally every time you do enough damage you''ll get some [P] in case you got hit to replenish your power a bit. Note here if you get hit you're screwed until the battle ends. Their attacks repeat fairly often in this battle but a good rule of thumb is one of them will aim at you while the other sprays a bullet pattern everywhere, slowly dodge from the one aiming at you giving you time to see what the other is doing then dodge accordingly. Most importantly is once their health gets into the red begin focusing your attacks on the one you don't want to fight, They share a health bar through the battle but whoever takes the last hit will be the one who gets taken out and then you fight the survivor one on one.

I find Mai to be easier her attacks may be showy and non directional but after seeing how they work you can see some pretty large blind spots in her attacks.

Yuki however isn't about showy attacks rather just unloads a mess of bullets everywhere. You want to defeat her as fast as possible because her biggest problem is that many of her bullet patterns overlap each other also said patterns get longer each time she repeats them. It's not too bad playing as Mima with her power but with say Reimu or Yuuka that doesn't have boss slaying power that could turn really ugly.
