Playing through Touhou Eiyashou ~ Imperishable Night on the Mircosoft Windows as the ever legendary Wonderful Shrine Maiden Of Paradise, aka Reimu Hakurei and the ever beautiful Youkai Of Boundaries, aka Yukari Yakumo! Together they form the Illusionary Border Team! This game is the sequel to Touhou Youyoumou ~ Perfect Cherry Blossom as it adds five new playable characters in addition to the three playable characters from the previous game. The game divides the characters into teams of two where the humans (Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya and Youmu even though she's half-human) take the role firing unfocused shots while the youkai (Yukari, Alice, Remilia and Yuyuko) take the role firing focused shots. Both the human and youkai characters share the same amount of lives, Spell Cards and items collected. Each character human and youkai alike have their own Spell Card meaning the player can use two different Spell Cards depending on whether the human or youkai character is active. The item exclusive to the game is the Time Orb. Players must keep collecting these so the in-game clock (Starting time is 11:00 PM) will not go to 5:00 AM in a few moments or else the game will prematurely end after clearing Stage 5. Speaking of the in-game clock, you can use continues but that will increase the in-game clock by 30 minutes. What makes the game different from all the other games before and after this one is that for the very first time, players can unlock a different final stage called Final B. By beating the game once and play through the game leading up to Stage 5 assuming the in-game clock didn't reach 5:00 AM, you are given the choice to revisit the normal final stage called Final A or witness the true finale of the main campaign that is Final B. Finishing Final B will unlock the Extra Stage with Final A not unlocking it at all.

I want to continue talking about what else this game has to offer but I think I'll stop there and conclude that this is my favorite Touhou game and one of my favorite video games of all time despite not being ported to other game consoles at the moment. I may not be a hardcore bullet hell player despite getting a Normal 1CC but all I can do is appreciate what this game offered: The soundtrack, the gameplay, the set pieces, the content and the story about Reimu forming an alliance with both humans and youkai as they must get rid of the fake moon and put the real Moon back by infiltrating the Eientei which is located deep within the Bamboo Forest of the Lost. But not before seeing Reimu and Marisa duke it out! All of this will lead to an epic showdown with Reisen Udongein Inaba and her master Eirin Yagokoro and her pet owner Kaguya Houraisan because these three replaced the real moon with a fake one. The combined forces of humans and youkai must knock these three to their senses because that can cause total confusion in Gensokyo! Once the real moon is put back to it's place, Kaguya sends the same alliance to a specific location. There another epic showdown with Kaguya's adversary who happens to sport a phoenix motif ensues but that's for another time...
