Touhou Labyrinth 2 Low Level run - Kaguya (Lv3)
3The goal of this run is to defeat each major boss/foe at the lowest possible level, resorting to any strategies, no matter how cheap they might be. If they're too cheap I guess make a second version where it isn't used. For the sake of increasing the difficulty to meaningful levels, the following restrictions will be applied:
- No negative level up bonus stock
- No negative skill points available
- Hard mode library restriction (1.2x level limit)
This video showcases the fight against Kaguya, and we have to do some grinding before fighting her to unlock Kasen and Nitori - which then allow us access to Parsee, the true star in this fight. As you can imagine, Kaguya's damage output can be pretty high, and there's no readily available MND tank on the first floors if you don't recruit 12 people to get Parsee.
Funny enough, the hardest part is the first few turns, where you gotta make sure Cirno survives the opening spell and gets a debuff on Kaguya - the fight becomes much, much harder if you don't do that. After getting that debuff, it's just a matter of keeping your damage dealers alive and buffed, and swapping them accordingly.
Kasen and Parsee are the main damage dealers, exploiting Kaguya's DRK weakness and low TRR resistance, making Jealousy of the Kind a very powerful tool here, dealing around 20% of Kaguya's HP as damage in 1 hit.
Minoriko and Reimu offer support in the forms of buffs and heals, as Marisa acts as a softer MND tank for switching people as needed into slot 4. Kogasa is also helpful for some chip damage as others run out of MP.
If you time your attacks just right like in the video, you can rush her down fast enough that you never see Swallow's Cowrie Shell, which would be very hard to deal with since it deals much more damage. Reimu's Armored Yin-Yang Orb also helps deal with Buddha's Stone Bowl.
Maybe with the right setup this fight might be doable at level 2, but I feel like it might require a bit too much luck to pull off.
