I thought this particular spell card in Marisa's Extra Stage was really neat, and I didn't find any videos specifically showing it off, so I decided to make a video of it myself, nearly timing it out, and then capturing it at the last second. So, it's essentially a time out, but I wanted to be credited with a successful capture.

So, here's how it works: White circles periodically appear in the grid at your location, and they're safe to touch. In addition, white and black (mostly black) circles scroll down into the field from the top of the screen, and the black circles are deadly to touch. Meanwhile, the boss will fire some regular danmaku at you as well. Now, if a white circle appears adjacent to a black circle in any direction (including diagonally), and there's another white circle exactly on the opposite side of the black circle, the black circle will turn white, allowing you to move onto that space safely. If there are multiple black circles in a row (going in any of the eight directions) with a white circle on one end, getting a white circle placed on the other end of the line will turn all black circles in between them white.

Try to get those white circles placed in good enough positions to open up a path to get through. If they're placed poorly (or if you get a really unlucky setup), you could end up trapped below a wall of black circles at the bottom of the screen, and then it's either use a bomb or die! (And black circle walls will appear frequently, so you will have to open up paths through them.)

Gee, I wonder which classic game this spell behaves like, the name of which happens to be inside part of the spell card's name...

Notes: Nothing new gets placed if the space you're on is already occupied by a circle, and any attempted placement in such a case won't have any effect. Also, you can "cheat" a little bit on this: It's possible to safely squeeze between two black circles that are diagonally adjacent to each other, and this might become necessary depending on what setups the game sends your way. (You'll see me make that diagonal squeeze play a few times here.)
