Touhoumon World Link LP [44]: I Defeat HU-AHN With Ridiculous Cheese
In this episode, I battle my way through the entirety of "Rune City"'s gym, including the almighty HU-AHN. That "almighty" part is no joke, because even though this is World Link, I had a pretty tough time with him... because of one particular Touhoumon he's got. It kept destroying my team, and I had to rely on an absolutely bullshit strategy to beat him. This honestly makes me kind of scared for what's to come after this, and what this fight is like in Purple...
By the way, this guy's supposed to be some master of Water-types or whatever, but I don't think he had a single one. Wtf.
(Holy shit, look at all of those timestamp notes below... Can you imagine what this video would be like if annotations were still a thing?! I made those while editing the video, so you could probably guess it took a while to finish today...)
-----------------------------------------------
1:51 - Hah.
11:13 - Apollo 13 is a 90-base power Poison-type move. It has a 40% chance to badly poison the foe (like Toxic). It has 100% accuracy but only 5 PP. This move really isn't what it appears to be...
12:46 - White Wings is a 70-base power Flying-type move. It has a 20% chance to raise all of the user's stats (besides accuracy and evasion; just like Ancientpower). It has 100% accuracy but only 5 PP (just like Apollo 13, lol). I don't think this is the first time I've seen this move, but I thought I'd bring up again what this move is like just in case.
16:44 - In case you want to know, ECirno replaced Pidgeot. Doesn't really explain why she faints like that, though...
18:49 - Tiny Spring is exactly the same as White Wings, except it's Grass-type.
22:59 - The episode where I fought Juan in Rando Emerald was uploaded on July 1st last year, so I must've (most likely) recorded it on June 30th. So right between both months, lol.
24:48 - "(9) Ball" is a 66-base power Ice-type move. It has a 33% chance of freezing the foe. It has 99% accuracy and 6 PP. A really weird move; I think it involves some sort of joke related to Cirno. That freeze chance is no joke, though... (By the way, it replaced Comet Punch.)
30:29 - Sara probably can too, since LCirno went through the trouble of setting up with Mana Charge first last time.
34:24 - I decided to check the data on Juan in World Link, and it turns out he DOES actually have two Hyper Potions (nothing else besides that), so my logic here was probably correct.
35:10 - Byakuren can tank an Ice Beam even after a Mana Charge, so the AI's logic here makes sense.
36:11 - Considering how my fights with Juan have been going, they must speed tie. EKurumi has 110 base speed, and LCirno has 115 base speed. Since they're the same level, and LCirno has max EVs (apparently), that must been my Kurumi's speed IV is really good. Nice to know.
40:18 - "Caution!" is literally just vanilla Explosion. I hope you know what that does, because I'm not explaining it here, lol.
40:51 - EKogasa can learn Hydro Pump at Lv59 in World Link.
42:18 - Well, first fight. It actually ended up working THIRD try, lol.
43:41 - Yep. She can't even learn Rain Dance, oddly enough.
