Super Mario 64 Randomized Alternate LP [1]: Wait, Haven't I LPed This Already?!
{The "Alternate" part was added by me to differentiate it from the other SM64 Randomizer. Was previously called "Super Mario 64 Randomized (am93)".}
Er, no... Not exactly. This is a Mario 64 randomizer, but not the same one I LPed before! This LP might've come as a pretty big surprise for you, probably as much as surprise it was for me when I found out that this even existed!
I could go into detail about what this is exactly and why I'm LPing it, but I think I explained enough in the video itself, so I don't feel like doing it again here. Speaking of which, sorry that I spent pretty much this entire video explaining shit. (I was almost even tempted on calling this video "Infodump The Episode" or something; that's how bad it was.) But considering how weird this game is, as well as the weird circumstances surrounding my reasons for LPing this now in the first place, I feel it couldn't be helped. And considering how bad I am with explaining things, this one... actually went surprisingly well. I feel like at times I explained things in a weird order, and almost forgot to talk about some stuff, but since I did this all without any sort of script I think it can be forgiven.
So... I ended this episode with 11 stars, fully completing Whomp's Fortress and already getting all of the caps. Impressive, since I spent almost half of the video with just one star and the basement key (because I was focusing on talking about a bunch of shit). Since I "should" be done explaining things and can just focus on playing the game, next time I'd like to explore a bit more and see how the other levels got randomized, as I didn't really enter many levels this time. Considering how many stars I got in this ep, and the fact I got a lot of important things early, this LP might end of finishing a lot faster than I thought. Then again, I suppose it's too early to tell, so who knows. This is only the first episode, after all...

-----------------------------------------------
5:28 - I also wanted to LP it early because I also really wanted to play this seed, but didn't want to spoil myself by playing it casually, so it's similar to why I LPed BK Rando early.
17:00 - It's Element Temp's 13th ann. and Paint & Treble's 12th ann., in case you were wondering.
17:35 - What's with the game lagging in the hub area? This happened in Star Road, too...
17:43 - By the way, this is the reason why I randomly decided to include the name of the creator of the first Mario 64 Randomized near its version number on my video list page; I did it to further help deal with any confusion this LP might cause people.
18:37 - This means you'll hear the castle song in more than one area, as the game will randomize both. Actually not even just both, as I think up top is considered a different area as well.
26:46 - Yeah, there's a weird thing about this randomizer that I didn't talk about during the video that you might've noticed... As mentioned before, the trees in the levels will be in random spots, but their shadows will stay in their vanilla locations (as shown here). It can look pretty weird seeing a bunch of random shadows everywhere for no reason, especially if you're not used to it.
29:26 - The part I recorded right before this one was over 13 minutes long... Damn.
32:58 - Actually, it appeared when I grabbed my first Star. And then they stopped appearing... Weird.
33:21 - Nope, it wasn't; the requirements I mentioned earlier for getting it to appear were correct.
34:02 - The first episode, I meant. I was surprised I would be entering Big Boo's Haunt in ep 1, just like in my other randomized Mario 64 LP. This is what happens when I'm surprised by a bunch of stuff at once...
36:06 - If they ARE switched around, then the instruments for this song probably came from Bob-omb Battlefield. That's my guess, anyway...
