♫Town Themes from ACTRAISER, NES Arrangement - NintendoComplete
This video features arrangements of a couple Yuzo Koshiro themes from Enix's 1991 SNES game ActRaiser. This was written for native playback on NES hardware using Famitracker (w/VRC6), and the audio was recorded directly from an American toaster-model NES deck.
0:00 Birth of the People
BGM from the simulation mode
1:37 Sacrifices
BGM played when the people of Kasandora invent music
2:48 Round Clear
Epic fanfare played when you beat a boss
I know I'm not the only one that loved ActRaiser's music. It has one of the best soundtracks on the Super Nintendo!
Both of the town tunes have been lodged in my memory for decades now - the first one always reminded me of the music from SimCity, and the second one starts playing shortly before everyone is killed by a plague, so that's pretty memorable. They're both great tunes.
And I included the fanfare because I thought it was cool, and because it gave me an excuse to use both timpani and orchestra hit samples all within the span of about five seconds. Hard to beat that for instant gratification when you like writing music with loud noises like I do :P
Thanks for watching! I hope you guys like it!
