This was my fourth attempt at this particular scenario as it seems to glitch out after the tree has fallen and I have to switch cabs. Whilst setting up the cab and inserting the brake key it seems to take control of the brakes away from me. I am following the instructions and prompts so unless I am missing something that I'm supposed to figure out on my own. Even on this attempt the same thing happened so I had to improv using the handbrake.
