Train Simulator 2017: Class 150/1 DMU Railcar (Warrington to Liverpool in Winter!) HD
Here is another Let's Play video of Train Simulator 2017. This time I am using the Class 150/1 DLC that I bought from the Steam store and I thought I would give my verdict and overview of the pack. The 3D model is very nice and the cab is decent as well. But the passenger view would benefit better from higher resolution HD texturing as the livery with the slight weathering looks spot on. However the major let down for this otherwise promising pack is the sounds as the Class 150's in the real world use Cummins engines which have a throaty roar to them when powering up and I was expecting this with the pack. However the pack uses the incorrect Class 158/166 sounds which use either a different type of Cummins engine and/or the Perkins turbo-charged engines as if my memory serves correctly. Some Class 158's were fitted with Perkins engines rather than Cummins.
The scenario I have made for this pack uses the Liverpool to Manchester route that is from Steam and the scenario can be downloaded for free from the Steam Workshop. I have not used any reskins for the scenario but some other DLC is required for the scenario to work properly. So you don't need to mess with any files.
Enjoy the ride.
