Transformers: Devastation - Grimlock (Prime difficulty SS Rank) Mission 4
25I've always liked playing as him anyway, but I've developed a bit of a new found appreciation for Grimlock recently as I've discovered a few new moves for him. One of these moves, which you perform in Dino mode the same way a normal character performs a shove attack (back, forward + triangle) in robot mode will instantly smash baddie shields and give you a prompt to go straight into a vehicle/dino attack, making it incredibly useful (which I found out about from watching another YouTuber's TFD Grimlock gameplay video). The loud speaker weapon is also brilliant for putting enemy characters into an instant stun, allowing you to suplex the fuck out of them. Additionally, I wasn't able to demonstrate it here, but it you do Grimlock's vehicle/dino attack that launches the enemy into the air (just keep hitting square until you get a prompt for the VA - I do one at 00:31, but the bad guy somehow didn't get hit by the VA, I think because I'd had to a dodge during the combo, which put my 'launching' position out slightly) you can immediately grab the enemy and perform an air throw. When the enemy hits the ground you can, whilst still in the air, transform back to Dino mode and perform an air stomp attack. I do an air throw near the start of the video (by doing the standard uppercut/launcher attack first) and you can see when the enemy character hits the ground, it does masses of damage to the other enemy characters underneath him. Grimlock also has a 360 degree 'spinning lariat' dino attack that will launch straight into a VA. He's not invulnerable whilst doing it though, so whilst it's great for giving yourself space with smaller baddies who will be battered away, you'll still need to dodge if a Heavy Ground Trooper takes a swing at you with his hammer in the middle of performing it.
When I'd uploaded some previous TFD videos, I hadn't gone through the game on the higher difficulties and they were played on Warrior - i.e. normal difficulty. Since then, I've completed the game on Commander, Magnus and the ultimate difficulty level - Prime. I thought it only right therefore that I upload some videos of Prime difficulty for these new videos. Fortunately , to even the playing field a bit, I've equipped all my characters with a load of SS rank weapons, most of which have been leveled up to 50.
