Treasure Hunters Session 159: Schrödinger's Loyalar
1In the last session it was shortly after the party had gone to warn the grandmasters of the Moonblessed and Sun Soul that Gokor might be heading their way. The pair thanked them for the information and the group decided that they should rest there for the night. During this time Theo went to speak with Aoife about what was happening and offered a friendly ear which turned into a larger conversation.
Riccochet arrived there with two others from Aoife’s monastery Sahin and Jaanvi, two monks who had been on excursion. He told the party that one of his contacts had seen someone of Gokor’s description enter a town north of their location known as Tamaran. This was the town that the party had previously went to which was located near the Temple of Scarlet Water, a temple that once held a minor Old One. It was decided that the party would teleport there once they were able to.
Before the teleportation Alexandria sent over 3 times use Sending Stone. Aoife sent a message to Gokor trying to goad him into fighting her. However, this did not have the desired effect and the child murderer that her leaving was proof that their art was flawed but now he had other worthier tasks to go complete.
The group teleported to Tamaran, the monk group went to the market to see if they could find any clues on Gokor’s whereabouts while the rest of them went to the inn. The innkeeper told the party that a man of their description had gone over to Morley’s house, a wizard that Zaitari had helped fund his research in the past. Morely was surprised at the party’s arrival and invited inside. After the generous donation, he was able to study more about ley lines and nexus points during which he had started communication with his now employer Lyris.
Lyris was an eccentric individual who was generous with his knowledge. He was putting together an interdimensional tournament and Morely was assisting with the Material Plane invitations. The invitations will be placed in creatures that teams will have to hunt and kill. However, the invitations can be taken from the teams prior to the beginning of the tournament. Morely does not know what will be sent, only the general location of where they will be sent. The team that wins would get a wish. Aoife went to scream into the void. Morely told them he would let them know if Gokor contacts him prior. The tournament will be held in one month so he expects the creatures to be set loose then.
