TripleHate Reads: Song of Huma (Dragonlance) (Michael Williams)
Continuing with the Dragonlance content, this time we have the verses that conclude the first book (Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman, poetry by Michael Williams), going into greater depth on the backstory character of the Solamnic knight Huma, whose creation of the titular Dragonlance and sacrificial defeat of Takhisis/Tiamat forms a fundamental basis of the setting (essentially the First Hero). I was considering attempting to recite it via bard-song (what it actually is in the setting), but decided against it for A: not being sure of what sort of tune to set it to, and B: bard-song doesn't really work without an accompanying instrument, so I settled for a more solemn recitation that the knights of Solamnia (the non-corrupt ones, anyway) would likely appreciate.
