“Last Thursday .. yesterday .. today
Nothing can stop us! My knee is already on the mend – the euro festival headliner run is still a go – not even a shredded meniscus can prevent us from sticking with our word, for our shogunate.
I kept the injury quiet to not alarm anyone. But last Thursday my left knee gave out.
Surgery was a big success.
30-40% of my meniscus on the inner left was taken out.
My meniscus was basically shredded there. Chronic. So it’s been going on for years.
My initial 2009 injury fall + more and more wear and tear over the years. Obviously BJJ wear.
But I’ll be good very quickly. I can start PT with my strength and conditioning coach Harry by Saturday, says sports resume 4-8 weeks from surgery.
I feel great. No drug fog. Even as of last night.
I’ll be good quick and will properly heal and strengthen the knee, and be back on the mats in no time.
The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic center under my (metal head) doctor was truly an incredible team of wonderful folks.
Also. Trivium Chile found an awesome Crazy Train cover from my Twitch we did a ways back. RIP to the Prince of darkness.”
