- About the Game -
Tropico 5 is a construction and management simulation video game developed by Haemimont Games. In Tropico 5, you are the President and is given an island to build your own city. The President is the character you created at the start of the game. Tropico 5 allows you to grow your Dynasty up to 7 members, which each one can become the President of Tropico, one at a time. If you lose an election, its game over, and to avoid that you need to make your people happy, in return, they'll support you. If you don't make your people happy, they will rebel against you, or leave the island and game over. The game has four eras, starting from the Colonial, then progressing to World Wars, then to Cold War, and finally to Modern Times. Each era unlocks new buildings, new edicts options, new constitution options, and new technology for research. Other than improving happiness and constructing buildings, you can trade goods from your production building, allow tourists on your island, and even build an alliance with a foreign nation, and from all this, you can earn some profits.
