Truant Pixel "Shinjuku Bokeh" theme WIP (name not final)
Another work in progress theme, this one featuring realtime bokeh effects - specifically, out-of-focus points of light. The goal is to give the impression of defocused lighting on wet glass. The color schema were inspired by a previous trip to Japan in April, walking through the Shinjuku district on a drizzling Saturday night. while the background elements are out of focus, the actual focused image is visible in each individual raindrop's refraction. Two dynamic cameras have been implemented. (This theme would thus be particularly suited to a plasma display, given the multitude of darker tones and the low risk of image retention.)
Music is soft, ambient, and simple, set to the sounds of a rainy city night.
As is our standard, no video or wallpapers were used to create the effects shown. Every single light source, is an independent object, combined to provide unique color tones at irregular intervals throughout the theme. the total sequence actually lasts more than 12 minutes, however given the staggered and progressive nature of the overlaid effects, it's unlikely that you'd see the same combination of lights and colors twice in one sitting.
