Trying out a Mod! - Spyro 2 & 3: Character Swapper
9Another Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Mod video! This time, I try out a mod that seems to only really work for Spyro 2 and 3. Which is the Character Swapper Mod. This one was created by FranklyGD and allows the player to change between the 5 main characters from the third game: Spyro, Shiela, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley and Agent 9 on pretty much any stage. This can be done by using numbers 1 to 5 on your Numpad.
As I said before, from what I can tell, this only works on Spyro 2 and 3 for the Reignited Trilogy. Even then, there are a couple of problems when using this. Some characters aren't scripted to defeat enemies that are meant for Spyro. The biggest example of this issue, in the video are Shiela and Bentley. Who can only harm fodder, not enemies. There are a couple of other qwerks too, such as crashes that can be caused if you attempt to change character whilst transitioning a level. However, the mod author has written all of these down into a notepad file, in case you're ever wondering what they are.
I really recommend giving this mod a try, if you want to play through the game and mix & match characters to complete a level.
