Trying The Virtuix Omni For The First Time
56Over the Memorial Day break, I went to Myrtle Beach, SC with my family and I checked out one of the local VRCade's, The Nexus VR. They had a Virtuix Omni which is one of the first omni-directional treadmills. I actually had a fun time using it and it wasn't as bad as I expected. There's still issues of jumping and crouching/prone in games, but as a method of movement, it felt really cool. Being so used to VR clearly helped me, I'm not sure how long it normally takes people to get used to it. Once I really put my faith into it that it would hold my full leaning weight, it was pretty fun.
