This is a playthrough using Krang's Android in the Genesis/Mega Drive version of TMNT: Tournament Fighters. Read on below for more information...

Krang's Android is the 2nd boss in the game. He is an unplayable character.

===== ABOUT KRANG'S ANDROID =====
Krang and his android is of course one of the main antagonists of the early TMNT series. He works with and has an awkward relationship with Shredder, who helped to build him his body/android as a result of Shredder's failures to eliminate Splinter and the Turtles.

Gameplay-wise, what do you get if you cross Dhalsim with Sagat? TTF Krang. Heh. Krang's Android is a somewhat slow character with a slow'ish jump, but he makes up for it by having some basics which feature extending limbs, and also a sliding sweep which seems to have a very good hitbox. His two special moves are of a high and a low double rocket projectiles, which is essential for him to control space and put pressure on the opponent because he does not have the speed nor agility in his movement and basics alone.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION =====

---- He does not seem to have a Desperation Move.

---- When he is highlighted on the character select screen, there are some text graphic faults. This is obviously because he isn't meant to be selected in the game. His name text appears perfectly though.

---- When you confirm him on the character screen, it uses a "wrong" sound effect.

---- Surprisingly, if a mirror match occurs then one Krang will actually have a proper alternative colour palette. This suggests that he may have been originally intended to be a playable character.

---- Because the game has no individual character endings, you can complete the game with Krang with no problems.

---- His stage background cannot be selected on the stage select screens that appear in the game.

---- In the Japanese version of the game, the beetle creature character is called Musha Beetle instead of Sisyphus.

---- Regarding the American box art for the game, on the back side of it there are screen shots which show Triceraton and Krang's Android being supposedly controlled by human players, which suggests that the pictures may have been taken from an early in-development version of the game. Obviously this isn't legitimately possible in the final version of the game.

---- The European version of the game is called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Tournament Fighters.

===== ABOUT GENESIS TTF =====
Konami aims for a more "conservative" and "less flamboyant" style for the Genesis version of the game, it is completely different to the SNES one. The SNES version is obviously the more stylish game (and plays better, in my view), but don't let that put you off - the Genesis TFF has it's own unique charms and features of it's own.

The unplayable bosses in this game deserves a special mention for how "complete" and "finished" the characters are (even having 2P colour palettes) when alternate methods are used to select them for player control. It seems that in development they were planned to become selectable characters (regular or via hidden input), but for some reason the decision was omitted... possibly due to time constraints. Back then, a rumour was that they didn't have enough time to draw their character images on the character select screen... this is unconfirmed of course.
