This is a very basic tutorial of how to make a full tank with movement armour and weapon using the ACF (armored combat framework) addon. We will not use Expression 2 (E2) instead we will use regular wiremod.

This layout of our tank in this may be more similar to that of an mobile artillery, given that we exchange the autoloader for a howitzer. This non turret solution makes it more effective on ranged distance as having the enemy behind or on the side could be fatal with current layout. Also you notice that we leave a gleep in front armour for the gun to aim the gun (though with an extra under the gun behind the front armour), it would not be realistic to let the gun noclip through a larger armourplate, the most basic ACF-rule (if you need your tank to be legit) is that it should be realistic, thats why acf components cant noclip into each other, and to hinder folks from making too OP stuff.

In this we will not use an extra gearbox for movement in different speeds, here we only have them we need for steering and movement, it is very slow with this setup so it can be a good idea to add a 4 gear box if you expect to travel some longer distance with it (all the values should be set to positive for that one) That gearbox should be linked between the 2 steering ones and the engine, remember that you need the gear that down when turning (if you don't use very very large engines... ..or have a really light tank)
